FEELING THE BODY

 


With all the information we get, it is so easy to disconnected from our own needs. We are bombarded 24hr a day with visuals, with words, knowledge, wisdom, the endless stream. On one hand it is amazing time to be alive with everything reachable at our hand, but there is a question - how much this connection causes the disconnection from ourselves? And it is not black or white, it has many colours, which colours are right for us, for our own bodies and souls? 

When we disconnect from our body's needs it is so easy to get lost in all the logical thinking. What is right, what is wrong, what do I need to do, what others expect me to do? What would be culturally right? What would people think? If I will fail? Constant evaluation, measurement, and performance. A world where every step has to be justified, defended or explained. A world where we are always scanning for danger, for mistakes, for disapproval and rushing, pushing, achieving. 

And slowly, without even noticing, we move away from ourselves. We begin living from the neck up — from analysis, anticipation, and fear — instead of from the full intelligence of our being.

But what if, just for today, you didn’t ask these questions? If only for today you would follow the deep needs of your body? Not your heart, gut separately and certainly not brain, but the whole ocean of cells? Your whole being? The wisdom and the needs of your animal body? 

High probability that some judgments will come to the surface, they often do, let's welcome them, hug them.. and let the inner animal roar your unique song today.
